   Minor damage during manufacturing and room for improvement in design

   Opened the box to some minor damage likely caused by inattentive manufacturing processes and poor QA. The two nightstands come in a single box (that was pretty beat up btw but its travels did not damage the contents.) The surfaces are a crisp white finish with, what seems like, a good paint. The drawers use a premium bearing roller type of slide but are not slow-close action which is fine for me. The outlet assembly uses a plug that goes straight into the wall like most plugs. The instructions were sufficiently illustrated to assemble both stands without reworking anything. The parts kit does include some extra pieces just in case which was appreciated.
   
   Biggest downfall was the damaged piece (something I have to hide now from guests using the bedroom) and the fact that they provide a corded outlet but the plug will NOT sit low profile to the wall (so if the outlet is behind the nightstand, the stand will have to sit at least 3.5” away from the wall to allow the cord to plug into the wall.) This is not convenient for me and it reveals a poor design because the anti-tip brackets DO NOT extend at least 3.5” out of the stand to mount to the wall. The anti-tip brackets will only work if you either have an outlet that is NOT behind the stand OR you don’t use the outlet and leave it unplugged. I am buying more parts to make this work which is why this is getting 3/5 stars. (Standard US outlet height from the floor is ~17”, the box portion of the nightstand is in the range of 11”-27.50” from the floor.)
